AARP Foundation Funds Two Year Project on family caregiving

Cooperative Extension Services in partnership with state and local AARP offices in New York, North Carolina, Oregon and Wisconsin have formed a consortium to identify the most effective outreach strategies for working with small business employers to distribute family caregiving information and educational programming. The project, funded by AARP Foundation, is called Prepare to Care--I'm READY are You? Employers Supporting Employees Who Care For Family Members. One of the products of the collaboration will be the development of a Community Educators' Guide for a national rollout program coordinated by Caroline E. Crocoll and Jane Schuchardt, CSREES. The Educators' Guide will be disseminated and made available through CYFERnet Parent/Family. For more information, please contact Denyse Variano, CCE Orange County, dav4@cornell.edu or June P.
